Among other routines, managers are inherently accountable for most of their departmental/business finances. Provided with a budget, and timelines, we need a trail of accounts that shed light on business products, projects, and operational undertakings therein.

Where there are proper and accurate records of transactions, it is easier to drive business processes to profitability.

Devoid of an accurate record of accounts, Risky undertakings are highly frowned upon. More so, quantifying success is nearly impossible. Where success is not measurable, conflicts will always arise. You will find reward schemes bogged with injustices. Political affiliations are rewarded, and dissent—coupled with financial implications, is highly discouraged.

It is records of accounts that inform budget planning, expenditure tracking, etc. Additionally, at a glance, you get a detailed view of records of liabilities, expenses, incomes, the value of assets, etcetera.

There is plenty of software out there that can aid in keeping and extracting helpful information from journals. My personal favorites are -:
